Chocolate is known for its beneficial effects on morale thanks to its magnesium content. Indeed, cocoa is an excellent source of magnesium since dark and milk chocolates contain respectively 112 mg and 60 mg of magnesium per 100 g. This element makes it possible, among other things, to counter fatigue, stress and anxiety, because the chocolate allows a renewal of energy during consumption. In addition, the consumption of chocolate brings comfort and satisfaction, since it also promotes the secretion of endorphins also called the happiness hormone.

Dark chocolate is an excellent source of fiber

Thanks to the fibers composed in the chocolate, it helps to limit constipation by stimulating intestinal transit. The higher the cocoa content, the higher the amount of fiber. Then, some chocolates, such as  70% dark chocolate, contain more fiber than some vegetables, including zucchini and cucumber. Also, chocolate is food that causes a great feeling of satiety thanks to its fiber content, so it can be considered that it reduces the desire to eat other foods.
